Products include batteries, chargers and accessories to complete a stored energy system.

EnerSys maintains its leadership position in these markets by providing customers with world-class products and services, achieved through total employee involvement, teamwork, and supplier partnerships. Exceeding our customers' expectations and supplying the highest quality products and services are paramount at EnerSys. This belief is the foundation that helps shape the company's vision for progress and allows our customers to achieve their goals.

The EnerSys story began over 100 years ago, when The Electric Storage Battery Company ( ESB) was founded near Philadelphia in 1888 - its Chloride Accumulator Battery helped launch the Age of Electricity. ESB grew dramatically over the years, through product innovation and by expanding the uses for battery power for automotive and industrial applications. ESB sold its industrial battery operations to Yuasa Inc. in 1991, and the company became EnerSys 10 years later - the result of a management buyout of the Motive Power and Stationary Power (now Reserve Power) business units from Yuasa in January of 2001. In March of 2002, EnerSys purchased the Hawker Energy Storage Products Group, making EnerSys the largest provider of standby DC power solutions in the industry.
