EnerSys® Receives Newest Safety Certification for NexSys® iON 80-Volt Batteries

READING, PENNSYLVANIA, MAY, 24, 2024 – EnerSys (NYSE:ENS), the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, achieved the latest UL2580 Rev3 certification for its 80-volt NexSys® iON lithium-ion batteries.

With this latest certification, 80-volt models of NexSys® iON batteries meet the most stringent safety requirements put forth by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL).This updated UL2580 Rev3 certification included testing of NexSys® iON batteries under even harsher conditions than previous testing to help provide safe operation in more demanding environments.

All NexSys® iON batteries are engineered for fast recharging and high energy storage capacity for longer run times. Catered to meet the energy demands of a variety of heavy-duty applications, including those conversion from LP- and diesel-fueled equipment, NexSys® iON batteries are equipped with an integrated Battery Management System (BMS) that supports greater safety, reliability and battery life.
