Purcell Systems, Inc. Among 2019 “Best Places to Work Inland Northwest”

READING, Pennsylvania, October 9, 2019 –

EnerSys (NYSE:ENS), the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, announced that its subsidiary, Purcell Systems, Inc., was named among the recipients of the “Best Places to Work Inland Northwest” award. This is the second consecutive year that Purcell Systems, Inc. earned this recognition.

“Receiving this award for the second year in a row demonstrates that our culture of open communication, inclusion and empowerment delivers results,” said Dwayne Gray, plant manager. “Because we create a collegial environment for our employees, we maintain a high level of performance and continuous improvement. When employees are respected, they are better equipped to provide superior service to our customers.”

Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data and determined the final rankings. All award recipients were announced in the Journal of Business, a regional business newspaper.

In its fourth year, the survey-based awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the companies in the Inland Northwest that best benefit the region’s economy, workforce and businesses. The program is for businesses located in Spokane, Pend Oreille and Stevens counties in Washington and Kootenai and Bonner counties in Idaho.

As with last year’s award, Purcell Systems, Inc. was named among the top 35 medium-sized businesses in the Inland Northwest region. Located in Spokane Valley, Washington, the company designs and manufactures thermally managed modular outdoor electronic equipment enclosures. Its product solutions provide equipment mounting space, thermal management, copper and fiber cable management, and power and battery backup to telecommunications, cable/Multiple System Operator (MSO), energy/utility, land mobile radio, transportation and U.S. government/military customers. Designed for telecommunications outside plant use, the enclosures enable substantial savings of time, labor, space, and capital and operational expenses, compared with prefabricated buildings and shelters.

Companies from across the region participated in a two-part survey to determine which would be recognized with a “Best Places to Work Inland Northwest” award. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

The list-making companies were honored at an awards ceremony on October 9, 2019 at the Spokane Convention Center. The rankings will be published in the October 10 issue of the Journal of Business.
