Mr. Hoffen has been a Director of EnerSys since it became publically traded in July 2004. He is currently the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and a Managing Director of Metalmark Capital LLC. Mr. Hoffen was a founding member of Metalmark in 2004, and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners from 2001 to 2004, after having performed various roles in the private equity group since he joined Morgan Stanley in 1985. He serves as a Director of Pacific Coast Energy Holdings LLC, the general partner of Pacific Coast Oil Trust, whose trust units are listed on The New York Stock Exchange, and served as a Director of Jones Energy Inc., an independent oil and gas company whose shares are listed on The New York Stock Exchange, from 2009 to 2017. He is also a Director of several private companies and serves on the Board of Visitors of The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Columbia University. Mr. Hoffen received his Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia University.
