Remote Line Power

The Alpha® LPS36 Remote Line Power (RLP) system is the leading solution for remotely powering outdoor electronics. The LPS36 family is used to energize DSLAMs, fixed wireless access nodes and even the Optical Network Terminations (OTN) in Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks. Centralized up converters can convert a single utility AC grid connection into power for multiple devices using twised pair copper cable to deliver the current.

Many wireline operators re-purpose abandoned copper cables, converting them into power cables for use by the RLP equipment. Alpha RLP equipment comes in various shapes and sizes of up converters and down converters. Our down converters can be installed directly in outdoor environments, on a pole or strand or even in a handhole.
