ODYSSEY® Extreme Series™ ATEX Batteries

Some batteries offer massive cranking power. Others, deep cycle reserve power. ATEX-approved ODYSSEY® Extreme Series™ batteries do both, and are supplied in specially-designed enclosures that meet ATEX/IECExType "Ex e" certification for engine-starting applications in hazardous environments. These powerful batteries are designed for rugged performance where reliability is critical.

Rugged and reliable power for the most demanding, remote and extreme environments

Built with advanced Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, ATEX-approved ODYSSEY Extreme Series™ batteries feature 99% pure lead plates that are extremely thin, so more of them fit in the battery. More plates means more power – twice as much as conventional batteries, plus three times the service life – all within a self-contained unit that complies with the ATEX/IECEx Type "Ex e" standards.

  • Massive starting power: engine cranking pulses up to 2700 amps for five seconds
  • Extreme temperature tolerance: -40°F (-40ºC) to 140°F (60°C) for non-metal jacket models; -40°F (-40°C) to 176°F (80°C) for metal jacket models
  • Longer life: 8-12-year design life; 3-10-year service life Vibration resistant: protection against high-impact shock and vibration
